High-engagement hubs
At Volte, we use precision, high-performance hubs across our product line. From ratchet-drive for road, to 6-pawl, 120pt of engagement for gravel carbon, or 4-pawl 60-tooth hubs for our gravel aluminum. This means that whatever Volte wheel you buy, they will be perfect for your bike.
RIM TECHNOLOGIES
Hookless Carbon Rims
Stronger, lighter rim: Without needing to add and reinforce material around the rim hook, our rims are much stronger with less material and no weak point on the inside of the rim wall. It also means the layup of the carbon is more consistent, resulting in a rim that is stronger, more durable, and impact-resistant.
More aerodynamic: Without the design constraints of a rim hook (or a braking surface), the shape of the rim can be more seamless and optimized, making the wheel faster.
Improved tire performance: less rotational weight and a rounder tire profile give you a faster wheel with better handling.
Angled Spoke Drilling
We design each wheel from the ground up. That means each rim, hub, and spoke are engineered to work together. In the case of rims, the spoke holes are drilled at the same angle as the spoke coming from the hub, resulting in a stronger, more durable wheel.
TUBELESS SYSTEMS
Sealant
With the rapid development of sealants, our new formula offers not only superb sealing and air retention performance but is also free of ammonia and latex, and is less sticky and easier to clean than older types of sealant. Our sealant has been tested and complies with REACH and SVCH regulations
Tubeless Tape
All Volte, wheels come standard with tubeless tape installed. We have one of the most advanced tubeless tapes available – very stiff for ease of installation, creating an air-tight seal between the tire and rim bed. The tape is thin, lightweight, and durable enough to stand years of use.
Tubeless Valves
Machined from CNC billet instead of from alu tubing, for additional strength. Lighter than brass valves. Designed for very good inflating efficiency. The base is designed to keep the valve from spinning in the rim.
